Hala roku Junior - Structure Challenge
Join a unique structural engineering competition organized by the Faculty of Civil Engineering at CTU in Prague. Showcase your knowledge and talent — and compete for exciting prizes.
Hala roku Academic is designed for high school students. Teams consist of 2–3 students.
The competition is announced in the category of models prepared in advance. The goal is to design the most efficient model – that is, the model with the highest ratio between the model’s load-bearing capacity and weight.
Each model must meet specific geometric, material, and structural requirements. Detailed information can be found in the competition rules.
The competition rules and registration will be published on 20 January 2026.
The competition day will take place at the Faculty of Civil Engineering CTU in Prague on 15. 4. 2025. The models will be exposed to a load tests there.
The Hall of the Year Academic competition is held under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering CTU in Prague and The Czech Chamber of Chartered Engineers and Technicians
The professional guarantor of the competition in the Department of Architectural Engineering.

Zároveň bude probíhat 8:00 – 9:00 zatěžování modelů kategorie Advanced (doktorandi), na které vás zveme jako diváky!
9:30 – 11:30 výstava modelů a tipovací soutěž
12:00 – cca 15:30 zatěžovací zkoušky
16:00 vyhlášení výsledků a předání cen
History
The Hala roku competition was established in 1986. It was originally intended for students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at CTU, and was later opened to students from other technical universities. Since 2007, secondary school students have also been able to participate in a special Junior category.
In 2023, a new Advanced category was introduced, designed for doctoral students.
